Meet Trent Oubre, one of our Web Designer/Developers.
Whether he’s writing code to enhance an existing website or designing a stunning, new one that checks off all your boxes—he’s sure to deliver love at first site! Trent’s creativity goes far beyond the realms UX and UI design, though. When he’s not deep into the world of HTML and CSS, you can find him flexing his art skills designing anything from logos to album covers, folk art and more.
How long have you worked in this industry?
What started as a passion for graphic design evolved into a full-time career of over 20 years designing websites for both small and commercial businesses.
What are some of your responsibilities?
I create new WordPress websites, help maintain existing ones, conduct research on industry trends and emerging techniques and run diagnostic tests.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Like Rodin’s Thinker—only at my desk. No, but really, I’m basically a professional problem solver.
What made you choose this profession?
I like the unlimited challenges presented when trying to create something aesthetic and functional out of pieces of code.
What’s your favorite part of what you do?
I get a lot of satisfaction from creating something that communicates with viewers and helps our clients’ businesses succeed.
What are your hobbies or interests outside of the office?
I’m a big fan of painting, collecting musical instruments and attempting to play them.
Would you rather be a famous director or a famous actor?
Definitely the director because he is the creator molding the pieces together to create a work of art. It also doesn’t hurt that the director receives much of the same benefits as the actor without having his face plastered everywhere, so there’s a better chance of living a normal life!
