As Co-founder of Comit Developers, Spencer Hoyt motivates the team with his passion for the technology industry and innovative ideas. He helps businesses solve problems by building online solutions for success. As such, Spencer also serves on several Board of Directors for other local companies and encourages others to actively keep learning whether it’s through an online course, podcast, or reading a book.
Spencer got his start in technology as an IT Administrator for an oilfield company and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Since then, his passion for economic empowerment has led him to help create solutions that can easily scale and make people’s lives more enjoyable. One example is hampr; a laundry service that will pick up your laundry, wash, dry, and fold it, and then drop off all within 24 hours. As a co-founder of hampr he also completed the Techstars program which provides entrepreneurs with a 3-month mentorship filled with growth workshops, networking, and fundraising opportunities. Spencer was also named Abiz’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008 and earned his B.A. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
When he’s not working, Spencer also enjoys hunting big game, rooting for the New Orleans Saints and spending time with his cat, Sambo.
